World Braille Day 2021

Most faiths believe God created man in his form or at least that the human body with all its functions is one of the greatest gifts from our ‘maker’ . Vision is a great gift and all too often we take it for granted. ❤️No blind person will be able to read this post. 💔

Sri Guru Angad Dev Jee (2nd Sikh Guru) gave us the above teaching on blindness over 500 years ago which makes us reflect on the purpose and focus of human life.

In Sikh culture it is offensive to call someone ‘blind’. Instead they are called ‘soorma’ meaning ‘the brave’.

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee was recently transliterated into Braille by Ragi Bhai Gurmej Singh (a hymn singer 🎶at Sri Harmandir Sahib) after 12 years of hard work.

Today, I believe people of faith have managed to translate/transliterate every holy scripture 📖in the world. This is a labour of love

Human cognition not vision is true sight – live in bliss knowing God’s blessings.🎁
